St Mawgan Village Stores & Tea Rooms & Gardens

Set in the heart of the village you will find the Tea Rooms which serve the best Cornish Cream Tea for miles. Here you can pick your own grapes when in season with the proceeds going to local charities. St Mawgan Village Stores and Tea Rooms is also home to Roger’s Jams and Preserves. These are made by Roger on the premises to his own recipes, Roger also supplies local hotels and restaurants including Jamie Oliver’s restaurant FIFTEEN at Watergate Bay.

The Falcon Inn, St Mawgan

If you visit the village of St Mawgan you will see The Falcon Inn opposite the church, the eatery is renowed locally for the quality of it's food. The Falcon Inn is at the heart of village life and hosts several events Festival, throughout the year including the annual Beer and Cider Festival in July. During the Summer months, the garden is open and there is often various Cornish entertainment including Morris Dancers, local bands, choirs and more.



The Merrymoor Inn, Mawgan Porth

Overlooking Mawgan Porth beach the Merrymoor Inn is in an enviable position with stunning sea views. This family run public house offers a range of local ales and fresh, home cooked meals at reasonable prices along with the traditional carvery. The garden terrace overlooks the beach and has a playground for young children. A very popular with visitors and locals alike.

Nestled between the Merrymoor Inn and the River Menahyl just opposite the beach, The Blue Fish Bar serves quality fish and chips during lunch time and in the evenings. The shop offers indoor and outdoor seating as well as a take away service from May bank holiday until 1st November and is open 7 days a week during the school holidays.

The Smugglers Inn, St Mawgan

The Smugglers Inn (formerly the Airways Hotel) is near the Airport, at the top of St Mawgan. Boasting a seclude beer garden the inn offers a wide selection of meals to suit everyone, in additional to the tradtional Sunday Carvery.

WAX, Watergate Bay

Particualrly popular for take-away pizzas. The roof terrace offers lovely views across Watergate Bay and spectacular sunset views over the bay. They often have live entertainment on and this is a very popular pub among the surfing community.

The exclusive location directly overlooking the beach at Watergate Bay creates the a tranquil and idillic setting for a fine dining experience. Fifiteen uses the freshest seasonal and local produce to create an amazing dining experience in a stunning location.

The Travellers Rest, Trevarrian

Situated at the top of Mawgan Porth in Trevarrian. The Traveller's is another traditional family pub, hosting music nights and a very popular Sunday carvery. A popular stop for walkers, the pub has a patio garden and a small children's play area.

Catch Restaurant, Mawgan Porth

Formerly the Fire Bistro (pictured), this restaurant changed hands and was rebranded in late 2013. Off the Beach serves a selection of locally sourced produce to locals and visitors alike, and is particularly popular with dog owners who are welcomed onto the terrace for alfresco dining.


Watergate Bay Hotel

A beautiful and elegant establihsment, perched on the hillside overlooking the bay and beach. Open to all including those not staying at the hotel. The hotel offers luxurious dining experiences to everyone including families.
